Move-in floor condition: kitchen wood dents
Tenant at time of issue: Sam Rivera
The live product keeps this in the shared unit record so move-in damage is not confused with move-out damage later. The tenant submission is timestamped when sent and can be included in a clean PDF export if the record needs review.
Timeline
Move-in condition report: kitchen wood floor has many small heel-shaped dents throughout the walkway and near the island. Photos attached before furniture was moved in.
Move-in condition acknowledged in IssueLedger. Record kept with tenant submission and timestamped photos.
Landlord contacted Lakeview Flooring for a repair quote and added the quote request to the same record.
Quote received: sand and refinish affected kitchen boards for $1,280. Work is cosmetic and can be deferred until the next vacancy.
Decision recorded: no immediate repair. Existing heel dents are documented as pre-existing move-in condition and should not be charged to this tenant at move-out.
Reviewed the flooring photos and note with the building manager. We agree this is pre-existing wear and the record is solid. Good documentation practice going forward.
